Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is set to transform its Customer Happiness Centres into smart, hybrid facilities by 2030, as part of its strategic plan aligned with Dubai's Vision 2030. This initiative forms part of a broader digital and AI-driven transformation aimed at enhancing urban mobility and user experience.

The RTA's strategic plan encompasses several key aspects, including the Artificial Intelligence Strategy 2030, which comprises 81 targeted projects aimed at improving urban mobility and customer service. The strategy harnesses AI, big data, and digital platforms to streamline operations and enhance service delivery.

The smart and hybrid Customer Happiness Centres will evolve to offer services both digitally and in person, minimising in-person interactions through digitisation and self-service models such as the Dubai Now app. This transformation aims to enhance convenience, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

The RTA is also implementing advanced technologies like AI-driven chatbots, big data analytics, and smart parking to support more intelligent and seamless service interactions. These technologies form the backbone of the smart centres and contribute to improved governance and service delivery.

In a significant move, the RTA has extended the operating hours of the Umm Ramool Centre, aiming to offer a seamless, time-saving experience for customers. The Centre, which offers services such as driver and vehicle licensing, public transport services, NOL card transactions, investment services, traffic-related matters, and right-of-way services, is now open 24/7, including official holidays.
